I'm sitting here listening to KPFA and they're playing "Use Me" right now! It is just such a thrill to hear yourself on the radio--they've played it several times on KCSM already too! I hope this is a sign of things to come.

I sing in four languages, crossing borders with acoustic jazz, boleros, salsa and samba. I'm a songwriter, percussionist, dancer, pianist and tree-climber (also a mother, magazine editor and recovering auto mechanic). Since 2004, I've made five studio recordings, including my two solo efforts, "Jazzmérica" and "Vagabundeo," both produced by three-time Grammy nominee Wayne Wallace. My 2007 release reached top 20 airplay on the JazzWeek World Music chart while my lead singing on Wayne Wallace's "The Reckless Search for Beauty" was simultaneously in the top 10!
