Alexa's Tips for Musician Moms, Episode 20

This one isn't exactly a "tips" episode, although it is the fruition of months of practice that I had shown in an earlier video from when we were driving to Mexico. I learned the incredibly tricky horn line that Wayne Wallace wrote for Miles Davis's Tune Up and recorded on The Reckless Search for Beauty. I think it was the hardest thing I've ever had to learn--akin to some of the atonal stuff I sang back when I was with Sacred and Profane chamber choir. But someone rated me two stars outta five on YouTube--ouch! Does it really sound that bad? You be the judge. If you like, check out the chart--I had to write in a lot of the accidentals and white-out some double sharps that were confusing me. I start singing at letter E.
