Sometimes I see amazingly tailored fashion and covet it--it's the costume aspect I admire, the effortless chic of an old Cary Grant movie. Then I see something like this, which probably costs a fortune, and realize it's not so bad that I buy my clothes at Mervyn's!

I sing in four languages, crossing borders with acoustic jazz, boleros, salsa and samba. I'm a songwriter, percussionist, dancer, pianist and tree-climber (also a mother, magazine editor and recovering auto mechanic). Since 2004, I've made five studio recordings, including my two solo efforts, "Jazzmérica" and "Vagabundeo," both produced by three-time Grammy nominee Wayne Wallace.
