Seasoned and always professional, Alexa has performed in many situations, including music festivals, nightclubs, conferences, parties, on boats and in a few other places she'd rather not recall. Roses have been thrown on stage after her singing, but thankfully, no tomatoes or underwear. While, like most artists, she wishes she could play listening rooms, concert halls and festivals exclusively, she truly enjoys sharing music with appreciative audiences wherever and whenever it will enhance the occasion. Furthermore, she lives life on a natural high and transmits that enthusiasm to events without ever losing sight of her responsibility as an entertainer.
Alexa is available for club dates, steady gigs and casuals, including private parties, corporate events, weddings, benefits and other celebrations.
She can tailor the band to your event needs, providing a simple acoustic duo (piano/voice or guitar/voice), quartet (add bass and drums) or larger band with horns and percussion section (can include congas, timbales, marimba and vibraphone). She also is lead singer for two larger groups, a 12-piece band with horns, guitar, piano and percussion, and an unforgettable 19-piece brass band, El Balajo.
She can provide her trademark mix of latin, Brazilian, original and American flavors of jazz, or concentrate on one or two of those genres exclusively.
