I was first introduced to Alexa as an artist when I saw her perform at Yoshi’s with Azúcar Con Aché, an all-women Latin jazz band. The show was a lot of fun and the band was festive. That night, Alexa’s smooth and creamy vocals inspired me to dance. Her candid humor amidst and between songs put her audience at ease and created a feeling of intimate connection.
