One of my favorite bands to work with is Pacific Mambo Orchestra, which is led by Christian Tumalan and Steffen Kuehn, boasts several of the Bay Area’s best salsa singers including Alexis Guillen and Braulio Barrera, and is frequently home to Santana players Karl Perazzo and Jeff Cressman.
Pacific Mambo Orchestra has changed the San Francisco Bay Area salsa landscape. This 19-piece band plays one set on Mondays from 9:30 to 11pm at Café Cocomo in San Francisco. You’ll hear salsa, mambo, bolero and cha-cha from a synchronized group of talented musicians. One exposure to their collective sound makes it clear that every member is a contributing and solid part of the whole.
