I have discovered the easiest, cheapest face wash ever! it’s organic, and you can make it out of something in your kitchen and put it in a beautiful glass bottle. You will have something that won’t irritate your face — in fact, it’s moisturizing — and you can also replace that pesky plastic bottle.
Using things that are simpler and better for the planet is a common theme in all my bathroom products. I stopped using foundation a couple of years ago and my skin has never been clearer. I also gave up shampoo and conditioner and my hair, too, is better than ever.
The secret? Colloidal oatmeal. This is what’s in Aveeno products. And it turns out that just means ground-up oatmeal flour. You can buy oatmeal flour, but it is so easy to make! Simply put regular oatmeal in your blender and in less than a minute you have oatmeal flour.
To use it, moisten your face, pour out a quarter of a teaspoon of oatmeal flour into the palm of your hand, rub it all over your face, rinse it off and your skin feels great.
